I have worked in local press and media for over 20 years now, mainly following the fortunes of Stevenage FC where I can be found every Saturday between August and May in the commentary box. I have a real passion for sport, especially at local level and have qualifications in football, rugby and running coaching believe it or not. I used to play rugby at a half decent level many many moons ago, and knocked around the local football and cricket scene, but nobody thought me good enough to keep! Now though I concentrate on the gym when I can, and have taken part in several long cycling events
Like the other guys, I am involved at Stevenage F.C as match summariser alongside Steve, Quiz night and Race night compare, for any events in the Broadhall Suite. I have been attending Broadhall Way since 1986, and watch the rise of the football club. I’ve managed Golf clubs and Leisure clubs in my professional capacity, and have many sporting interests which are wide ranging. While the other boys have established clubs and fitness knowledge, I love to look into the obscure sports, they different, finding the unearthed gems in the area. Youngsters that have a skill and want to tell the town about it!
I am most known for being the voice at Stevenage FC home games. I am the stadium announcer and have done this for five seasons. I also compere at events such as award ceremonies and have done this for the past few years. I am a qualified personal trainer along with my wife and we teach fitness classes and clients weekly. I’m a cardio junkie and love running, football and all things sweaty.
I am a front man in a local band called NOVA and we play local festivals and gigs throughout Hertfordshire. I run a local project that takes students and community volunteers to The Gambia every year and I am very passionate about this little African country. Away from this I have three beautiful children and spend most my evenings playing Dads Taxi for them.
